Friday Update, January 17
Worship. I love to worship. There isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t have worship music blaring on the car radio, on my phone, or on our JBL speaker at home. When I am struggling, feeling overwhelmed, or just wanting to center my heart…I worship.
We are designed for worship, it is how we are made. We have hearts that are attracted to God. As redeemed people we should overflow with thankfulness for what God has done in our lives. In worship we are reminded of how awesome our God really is. We discover him as our Creator, Redeemer, and Lord.
It is easy to get distracted with our everyday problems and worry over how these things will resolve themselves. Our problems can appear larger when they consume our focus. When we worship, we look up to see the God who rules the universe. It puts our struggles into perspective. God is still in control and he walks with us through the struggles of this life. Worship takes us outside of ourselves to see God at work in restoring his world.
Worship isn’t merely the hour, once a week, that we gather on a Sunday morning in the auditorium. Worship is every hour, of every day, in each week and month and year. Worship goes out into the world with us. Worship is in our families, our jobs, our relationships, our priorities, our interests, and our actions. Worship is who we are and what we do. Worship is all of us. Worship is our lives.

Please note that all accounts with VCA for the 2024-2025 (tuition, Before/After School Care, Lunch, etc.) must be current or a payment plan set up in order for you to re-enroll your child for next year.
