Friday Updates Nov. 15th

Abundant blessing.  I have been abundantly blessed in my life many times.  We all have.  I’m sure each of us can think of a time when the prayer was big, but God was bigger.  The need seemed unreachable, but God allowed it to be reached.  The check showed up in the mailbox or the extra bonus on our paycheck.  The bags of groceries on the porch, the encouraging note on our desk.  We’ve been blessed….abundantly.

"And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times,

having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." ~2 Corinthians 9:8

2 Corinthians 9:8 reminds us that God is able to bless us abundantly, providing us with everything we need to do good works and fulfill our purpose in life. This verse is speaking specifically to provide financial support, but it's important to remember that God's blessings come in many forms, and not all of them are material or financial.

God blesses us with relationships that bring joy and fulfillment to our lives. He blesses us with opportunities to serve and make a positive impact in the world around us. He blesses us with His presence and the comfort of His Spirit when we are going through difficult times. And He blesses us with spiritual growth and transformation as we draw closer to Him.

It's easy to get caught up in the pursuit of material wealth and possessions, but we must remember that true happiness and contentment come from a relationship with God and the blessings He provides that money cannot buy. As Christians, our ultimate purpose in life is to glorify God and serve others, and God's blessings enable us to do just that.

So, how can we respond to God's abundant blessings in our lives? One way is to cultivate a spirit of gratitude and thanksgiving, recognizing and acknowledging the many ways in which God has blessed us. Another way is to use our blessings to bless others, whether it's through financial giving, volunteering our time and talents, or simply being a source of encouragement and support to those around us.

Let's keep in mind that God's blessings go beyond money and material possessions. As we serve Him and impact the world around us, make sure that you stay open to receiving and passing on the many blessings that God has in store for you!
